Consolidate Superannuation
One of the most overlooked issues regarding superannuation is consolidation. Because of the nature of superannuation funds you will usually be liable to pay fees and charges for the account - usually in the form of a yearly membership fee. If you have superannuation across several accounts the amount of fees and charges you pay will be a lot more, which eats in to your super earnings for the account.
The easiest way to avoid being hit 2, 3, or 4 times for fees with each of your super accounts is to consolidate the funds in to one account. Superannuation rollover is also an issue currently in Australia, rollover investments are a good opportunity for retirees, but make sure you read the customer information booklets and understand the level of risk involved with the investment.
